小組不是一個聚會，而是一種生活方式。而怎樣用小組的功能建立一個彼此關懷，生命成長的屬靈群體，小組組長是扮演一個非常重要的角色。這個課程特為小組組長或準組長而設，我們會一起探討小組的基本概念（包括如何用小組推動教會質量的增長及個人成長，成功小組的基本要素，小組的模式，其他教會的小組策略等）及如何作一個有效的組長（包括人際衝突及個人衝突模式，靈裏的對話的五個基本舞步，領導形態及小組動力等。 - 6b. 小組組長訓練第二階段: 釋經與領查經

幫助組員建立一個屬靈及像基督的生命，是教會存在的至終目的（太28:19；弗4:12），也是小組組長主要的責任。這個課程是幫助參加者，行走能建立我們屬靈生命的「上達」與「內程」，破除個人生命成長的障礙，達成以生命影響生命的小組生活。本課程是一個操練的課程，參加者必須每天有個人靈修，及參加一個週末舉行的退修營 - 6d. 《初信成長八課》栽培員訓練
