Suggestions
- For the singspiration leader:
- Prepare well ahead, work closely with the pianist/guitarist, find the scores, arrange the songs, decide how many times to sing for each song, time it during practice. Check the song binders (table of content) in the fellowship cabinet.
- Make use of live musical instruments. Avoid using CDs.
- Practice with the pianist/guitarist ahead of time.
- Consider asking people to stand up for some shorter or well-known songs that they can memorize without needing to see the lyrics.
- To start, sing some "fast" songs to wake people up.
- Do not afraid of singing a song a few times. Sing many times especially for a short and simple song.
- Consider adding ice breaking, short words of prayers, quiet time during the singspiration.
- For the last song, pick one that is the highlight of the singspiration so that it'll linger in people's heads.
- Confirm with the person in charge who will be bringing a notebook computer. Email that person a copy of the PowerPoint at least the day before as a backup and bring the PowerPoint in an USB stick with you.
